Diane Shugrue, USA 7 day tour - May 2010
I wanted to let you know what a fantastic time I had on the 7 day World Tour of Ireland. Both Jean and Kevin were amazing in showing our group your beautiful country. They are both great story tellers and we enjoyed learning so much about the history of Ireland and the different locations we visited. There were 12 of us that started as virtual strangers and by day two we had all bonded like an extended family. Everyone had a great time and we saw so much each day. We had lots of laughs, great food and of course a few pints! I highly recommend your tours to anyone thinking about going. I loved the casual atmosphere and being able to visit places unique to Ireland.
Thanks again and I hope I can go on another one some day.
Geri & Warren Lawson, USA 5 day Tour - 29th August 2010
I just wanted to let you know that my Husband Warren and I went on the 5 day tour to the edge of the world with Jean last week and had a wonderful time.
Not only was the scenery unbelievably beautiful and all the activity choices great, but Jean was just such a treasure. She was absolutely professional as well as very knowledgeable and friendly. She was so helpful with getting everyone the opportunity to see and do the things we had most hoped for on our trip. She is also an outstanding driver! I am so glad she was driving instead of us driving ourselves, I think I would have had a heart attack if my husband had tried driving on some of the roads we were on.
I just wanted to thank you, and let you know how much we enjoyed the trip and we will be sure to let everyone know about your fabulous company.
Go raibh maith agat (Thank you)
Christy Stoeckel, USA 5 day 'To The Edge of The World' - 23rd August 2009
My experience with Vagabond was great from beginning to end. I booked the 5 day "To the Edge of the World" tour. I don't really consider myself a "tour person", preferring independent travel. I was very skeptical if this was something I wanted to do or not. Things got off to a good start due to the very timely and professional responses to all of my email inquiries. It was rather ironic that our group ended up being seven solo travelers. Not sure if this was by design or just luck. We represented six different countries and our ages spanned four decades. But none of that seemed to matter since we all were passionate about the same thing: travel.
There is no way I could have known the wonderful adventure that awaited. Beautiful landscapes, quaint towns, castles, beaches, lakes, dramatic coastline, great accommodations, my first Guinness, traditional Irish music and hiking. And more hiking. And a bit more hiking! Off the "beaten path" it definitely was!
Our fearless leader, Sam, made the trip even more memorable with his vast knowledge of Irish history, funny anecdotes, flute playing and singing.
Great trip and I can honestly say that of my 22 days in Europe, the Vagabond tour was the highlight of my trip. Thanks!
Bev Mclennan, 7 day 'World tour of Ireland' May 2009
The 7 Day World Tour of Ireland with Vagabond Tours. Only the Irish would call it a "World Tour". There I met Susan, Kendra, Jay, Terry, Linda, Bart, Zoe, Jean & Sam and had a wonderful time seeing this beautiful country for the first time. The food was too much, the Guiness was great and making new friends & having lots of laughs was terrific.
